Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Estimator specializing in Earth Work to join our team. As a Civil Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs and resources required for earthwork projects. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the profitability and success of our projects.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine the scope of work and materials required for earthwork projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate cost estimation.
- Utilize Trimble Business software and PlanSwift to input data, perform takeoffs, and generate detailed cost estimates.
- Evaluate labor, equipment, and material costs associated with earthwork projects.
- Research and source pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare comprehensive and competitive bid proposals for submission to clients.
- Track and monitor project costs during bidding and make necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy.
- Review historical data and lessons learned to enhance future cost estimations.
- Stay updated with industry trends and changes in construction methodologies to ensure accurate estimation practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Civil Estimator specializing in earthwork projects.
- Proficiency in using Trimble Business software and PlanSwift for cost estimation.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and earthwork construction methods.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
